Dining
Fresh, seasonal food
Proper nutrition and hydration is essential to health and wellbeing. We make sure that everyone’s preferences and dietary requirements are catered for in our home. Our qualified and experienced chefs cook up a wide variety of appetising and well-presented meals. We use fresh ingredients which are locally sourced whenever possible. The menu is created with input from residents. It encompasses a blend of traditional cooking with some international dishes. Staff are available at meal times to provide assistance with eating and drinking if required. We offer room service to residents whose preference is to dine in the privacy of their own rooms.
For breakfast, residents have a choice of fruit, cereal, toast or a cooked breakfast, served with tea or coffee and fruit juice. At lunchtime, the main meal is served with a choice of two hot dishes and a selection of desserts daily. A buffet supper is served every evening.
Dietary preferences and special dietary requirements
Not many people like every type of food and drink, which is why we give our residents lots of options. We regularly talk to residents about the food and drink they would like on the menu. From their feedback, we update our menus with dishes and beverages they want. We also cater for vegetarians and vegans as well as those who follow a special diet for medical reasons, for example those with food allergies or who require a gluten free diet.
Drinks and snacks
Drinks and snacks are readily available throughout the day. We serve tea and coffee after all meals as well as mid-morning, mid-afternoon and early evening. Wine, sherry or a glass of beer is also available.
